The root of DB Futhaira can be traced back to the golden age of traditional Thai typography. To understand the font is to first understand a pre-digital history. The design is heavily inspired by the "Sammak 4, Sammak 5, and Sammak 6" typefaces, created by the renowned artisan Sammak Kosonwat.
